School has started, obviously. For the Hess clan it was a HUGE year. Julian started middle school, much more traumatic for Mom than for Julian. Luckily, his Dad had him on the first day of school so I couldn't cry all over him as he went to the bus stop in the morning. The kid doesn't know how lucky he was on that one.
However, I did have Caroline... I haven't figured out a legal way to trade her on weekends with anyone, so I have to get her ready every morning. She loves kindergarden, her teacher, the library, the playground, the alphabet, everything. Her highlight of the start of school was riding the bus in the morning with her friends!
Taylor, last but not to be forgotten, started preschool this year. She goes 3 times a week. She loves her teachers, the Science Lab, Imaginariun, where I guess she gets to play dress up, and the playground. She knows what the alphabet is, but she is still singing ABCDEFQSR.... you get the idea.
Matt is doing what Doctors do. His ego is slightly elevated after being on the news 0n Sept 4. Although he isn't sure how he got volunteered. I tell him nice guys always get volunteered for stuff no one else wants to do! He is VERY busy, finally. He has been practicing for 4 years now with Parkview Physicians Group!
Julian played his first game of the football season Saturday. The highlight of the game was a catch and LONG run for a touchdown, then caught the conversion pass and scored also. It was the only score of the game, so we couldn't be more proud of him. I think there were other kids there playing to!JK
Caroline and Taylor are dancing. Taylor is doing ballet this year for the first time, she loved her first class on Thur. Caroline is doing Poms again, she wants to be a professional cheerleader when she grows up, so proud of her:) She also started tap for the first time. She really enjoyed the noise the shoes made on the floor!!
The girls are also taking tennis, as is yours truly. It is a little scary when I start swinging a tennis racquet, but the girls sure are cute to watch when they do. Taylor hasn't quite gotten the concept of not swinging the racquet like a baseball bat, but hopefully time and practice will correct that. Or we will find her a safer sport. I really enjoy tennis actually, I am pretty impatient with myself though, I feel like I am too old to need to practice so much. How am I going to make Wimbleton at this rate?
I hope no one took that seriously. As you can see we are busy, I didn't even add what Molly and Pumpkin are up to, there is not enough space... ok, eating, sleeping, stalking things, eating, sleeping, chewing things up, not potty training fast enough, etc...
See how brief that was?
I love your blog! You're sure filling up the time slots, but it all sounds so fun. :) Blog more about Matt's TV thing. I haven't heard anything about it. Is your basement finished yet? If so, I need pictures! Oh~ beware of tennis elbow! :))
